The British Transportation Museum is located at 321 Hopeland St, Dayton, OH 45417. It focuses on preserving both the past and present of transportation in the United States and Great Britain. The collection contains many different types of cars, trains, planes and other vehicles as well as a working steam train, a replica of London’s Underground system and a number of World War II aircraft. The museum also hosts many special events throughout the year including a motorcycle festival in early June which celebrates two-wheeled transportation. The museum is open every day except Christmas, New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving; admission prices vary depending on the time of year but most cost around $10 for adults. Tours are available Monday through Saturday at various times with some specific days restricted to school groups only.
